Finally came the spring with lazy rains and ongoing cold weather. We have been captured in our ugly winter coats for months which is longer then we expect. Don't know when we will see the real sunshine that shines through the curtains and pave the path of melting summer days, though it is obvious that the climate has been changing. What is remaining the same? There is always something remains the same and something changes. This "karma" hits me now! It is me, the one who always rummage around for a trace to find something to change, remaining the same.
So what's the point of mentioning the spring while I am still dealing with my super-important tasks? No point at all. Yet, it makes me feel I am rebelling against the rules set by this abstract graduate-student precedents. I am not an ordinary graduate-student who waste her life spending with articles and theories with no explanatory powers at all. I don't want to end up with no life, many articles, a title, lots of fat around my hips and psychological disorders.
What do I want then? A minimalist way of life. That's it. I just want to lie my legs on the grass and feel how wet it is, smell the-grass-after-rain scent, and be part of the life which is crucial for social scientist. Could you imagine a democracy without "demos"? Of course not . How come a social scientist can do her job without any social dimension? The ones who claim that it is not vital are not speaking the words of truth and wisdom.
So, I am rebelling against this preconditioned order. I'll do it my way.
